Introduction

SigNoz is an application monitoring tool native to Kubernetes. We have built a vendor neutral monitoring solution based on open-source technologies like Prometheus and Grafana. This also makes our solution easily extendible as you are not bound to our platform - and can use these technologies to monitor other metrics also. You can also add new dashboards and metrics on your own apart from the out-of-box dashboards provided.

The following sections show the functionalities of the current demo application for a Kubernetes cluster. Very similar dashboards would be created for your application once our app is installed on your infrastructure.

First, we will take you through the demo application structure and dashboards. Then we will detail out how you can install SigNoz in your Kubernetes powered applications.

Demo Application and Dashboard

The demo application consists of 3 different applications

• User application - This application is on cluster 1. This app uses Redis and Mongo
• Payment application - This application talks to an external payment service (paypal.com)
• Shipping application - This application uses MySQL and also interacts with cart app.
